London Vacation – Day 4 – WB Studios & South Bank – 9/14/17

The Great Hall

A huge part of the reason we traveled all the way to London, is because both my wife and I are huge Harry Potter fans. Sure, the food, culture, and history were a big motivator, but like so many, the Harry Potter books and films are a huge part of our lives. My wife hemmed a bit at spending the money to see the WB Studios where much of the Harry Potter films were shot, but I couldn’t imagine how disappointed she would be if we came this close, and didn’t take the few hour bus ride.

London Vacation – Day 3 – Tower of London, Guildhall & The British Library – 9/13/17

On our third day in London, we once again took the train into town. This time we intended to start our day at the Tower of London. After we exited the train station, we found ourselves on the south bank of the River Thames, and we needed to make our way to the north bank, near the Tower Bridge. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in Chicago

My wonderful wife talked me into buying tickets to Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at the Chicago Theater. It was a great concert, with no opening act, they just came out and played for a few hours, which was pretty refreshing.

We were able to enter through the alley door, thanks to the ‘Chase Lounge’ and avoid all the lines. We meet some interesting people, a married couple who lived in Chicago, but were moving to England in a few months (the Husband was from Sheffield), and had great food at The Emerald Loop.
