It seems like quite a few Devs have already gotten their hands on the new Apple Developer Transition Kit, which is basically an iPad Pro with a big ram upgrade thrown into the chassis of a Mac Mini.
These developers have already started GeekBench numbers, and even though they aren’t supposed to share the numbers publicly, most benchmark programs upload data automatically. That seems to be the case here. Check out ArsTechnica for a great rundown of the results.
Considering GeekBench must be running under Rosetta 2 as an emulation layer, the results look good. When you consider you’ll get a boost from these results when things run natively, the new Apple Silicon processors should be more than able to compete with current Intel Macs.
